Next morning at ‘Stand to’ 5 – 5.30 and again 7-9 in trenches.  Observed for hour through glass and sketched position.  Got hold of Chippings by Weyman.  Excellent.  Taken out to a little hill where Beck had nearly been killed by Turk in bushes.  Steep climb.
