Moved into trenches. Feeling very queer with chill and liver. Doctor ordered no duty but not for officers
as they were all so short but all not so short of officers.
Took turn at night 7-9 and then Calomel and
got off further duty that night.
Toffee arrived and letters from Mary, Dadd
and Mother.
